- Step 1
Take a bowl, add 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and whisk well.

Further, add 3 tbsp jaggery powder and whisk again.

Sieve 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda and 1.5 tsp cocoa powder in the mixing bowl.

Pouring in a little water fold the mix well.
- Step 5
Coat tin with oil.
- Step 6
Pour the batter in the tin making sure it is levelled, put it for baking at 180 degree Celsius for 25 minutes.
- Step 7
After 25 minutes, check with a toothpick if the cake is done.
- Step 8
Garnish with a sprinkle of 1/2 tsp cocoa powder.
- Step 9
Serve fresh and warm.
