- Step 1
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pressure cooker and add 1/4 tsp jeera, 1 green elaichi, 1/2 inch cinnamon stick, 1 bay leaf, 1/4 cup julienne onions and sauté well.
- Step 2
Once onions turn translucent add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and sauté again.
- Step 3
Once the raw aroma of the ginger garlic paste goes add 1/8 tsp haldi, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp dhania powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes, 1/2 tsp jeera powder, 1/4 tsp chaat masala, 1/4 tsp garam masala powder and mix well.
- Step 4
Pouring in a little water, add 75 gm minced mutton and mix well.
- Step 5
Once the mutton is coated with all the spices, add the previously soaked chana dal, 1/2 tsp salt, a little more water and mix again.
- Step 6
Making sure all the ingredients are mixed properly, cover the cooker and allow it to cook till 4 whistles.
- Step 7
Once done, remove the cover, add 1/2 tsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves.
- Step 8
Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
