- Step 1
Soak & cook 1/8 cup tur dal and keep aside.
- Step 2
In a pan, heat 1 tsp oil, add 1/2 tsp jeera, and 3 kadi patta and let it crackle.
- Step 3
Add 1 tbsp each of chopped onion and tomato.
- Step 4
Saute all the ingredients well.
- Step 5
Then, add 1/4 tsp each of haldi, red chilli powder and salt and saute.
- Step 6
Add the cooked tur dal and 1 tsp tamarind paste and mix well.
- Step 7
Give a Nestle twist by sprinkling some black sesame seeds on top and khatti dal is ready to be served.
