Steps
- Step 1
For Filling
Prepare mango pulp from 1/8 cup chopped mango.
- Step 2
In a pan, add 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, 3 tbsp chopped mango and 1/8 tsp green elaichi powder and saute well. Keep aside.
- Step 3
Give a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds.
- Step 4
For Dough
In a kadai boil water as required and add 1/8th tsp salt, 1/4 cup rice flour mix well till it thinkens and leaves the edges of the pan and forms a dough. Add the mango pulp.
- Step 5
Mix all ingredients well.
- Step 6
Turn off the heat and knead a soft dough.
- Step 7
Allow it to cool, take a small portion, round it into a ball and press it flat on the palm, now add the prepared filling and fold it into a modak shape..
- Step 8
Prepare the rest, transfer the modaks to the steamer.
- Step 9
Allow it to steam for 15 min.
- Step 10
Delicious Mango Modak is ready to serve.
