Steps
- Step 1
Heat the nonstick tawa on a medium heat.
- Step 2
Pour 1 ladle of batter on the tawa and spread it in a round shape.
- Step 3
Add 2 tbsp chopped onion and 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves. Press gently.
- Step 4
Add 1 tsp oil around the edges of the uttapam and on it.
- Step 5
Cook on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown and the edges start to lift off the pan.
- Step 6
Flip the uttapam and cook until the other side is also golden brown and the onions are slightly caramelized.
- Step 7
Serve hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar.
