Ingredients

- Step 1
Take 2 tbsp rice and 2 tsp black urad dal, soak it for 2 hours, grind it to a paste, ferment it overnight and keep aside.
- Step 2
Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a pan and add 1/4 tsp rai.
- Step 3
Once the rai starts crackling, add 3 kadi patta, 1 tbsp chopped onion, 1/4 tsp hing, 1/4 tsp salt and sauté well.
- Step 4
Give a Nestle Twist by adding white sesame seeds.
- Step 5
To make the batter, take the previously fermented paste in a mixing bowl, add the tempering and mix well. Keep aside.
- Step 6
To make the appe, brush the moulds with little oil and fill the moulds with batter.
- Step 7
Cover and allow it to cook.
- Step 8
Flip and cook the other side as well.
- Step 9
Serve hot.
