Ingredients
Steps
- Step 1
Heat a pressure cooker with 1 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp jeera, 1/8 tsp hing, 1 bay leaf, cinnamon stick, 2 cloves, 1/8 cup julienne onion and saute until light brown.
- Step 2
Add 1/8 tsp chopped green chili, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/8 cup chopped tomato, 1/8 cup diced mushroom, 1/4 cup chopped spinach, soaked dalia, sprouted ragi and saute.
- Step 3
Give it a Nestle Twist by adding sweet corn
- Step 4
Season with 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp red chili powder, water as required and mix well
- Step 5
Add 1/2 tsp fennel seeds, 1/2 tsp alsi and mix well
- Step 6
Cover the lid and pressure cook until 23 whistles
- Step 7
Open the lid and fluff up the khichdi
- Step 8
Serve hot with kadhi or raita.
