In a bowl add semolina batter, 1/2 tsp grated ginger, 1/4 tsp green chilli paste, 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, pinch of baking soda and mix gently.

Give it a Nestle twist by adding chopped cashewnuts
- Step 3
Heat a pan with oil for frying
- Step 4
Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking. Take a small portion of the batter, shape it into a round ball, and then create a hole in the center, forming a doughnut shape.

Gently slide the shaped vadas into the hot oil.
- Step 6
Cook until the vadas are golden brown and crispy on both sides
- Step 7
Drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Step 8
Serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.
