- Step 1
Heat 1.5 tbsp mustard oil in a pan until it starts smoking and turn the flame off and let it cool down to room temperature.
- Step 2
Grind the spice mix ingredients, 5 no. dried red chilli , 1/2 tsp of each methi seeds, saunf and black pepper powder, 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp rai, 1/4th tsp of each haldi, and hing, 1/2 tbsp dry mango powder in a mixer/grinder to a fine powder.
- Step 3
Add the pickle spice mix to boiled yam followed by 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix gently.
- Step 4
Yam Pickle is ready.
