Ingredients
Steps
- Step 1
Soak 2.5 tbsp bajra overnight.
- Step 2
Heat a pressure cooker with 1 tbsp oil, add 1/4 tsp jeera and roast it.
- Step 3
Add 1 tbsp of chopped onion and saute until light brown.
- Step 4
Add 1 tbsp each of chopped tomato, grated carrot and 2 tbsp green peas and mix well.
- Step 5
Add 1/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/8 haldi, 1/4 tsp salt and saute.
- Step 6
Add soaked bajra, 1.7 tbsp tur dal and 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves on top
- Step 7
Mix well and pour water as required
- Step 8
Give it a Nestle Twist by adding flax seeds
- Step 9
Close the lid and pressure cook until 4 whistles
- Step 10
Once the pressure releases, fluff the khichdi gently.
- Step 11
Serve it hot with plain Nestlé A+ Curd.
