Ingredients

- Step 1
Heat 1 tsp ghee in a wok and add 1/2 tsp jeera to splutter and add 1 bay leaf, 1 green elaichi, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 black peppercorns and 2 cloves.
- Step 2
Give a Nestle Twist by adding cashewnuts.
- Step 3
Add 2 tbsp chopped onions and saute for a min, add 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp green chilli paste and cook for a minute.
- Step 4
Now add 1/2 cup grated beetroot, 2 tbsp fresh peas, and cook with 1/2 tsp salt.
- Step 5
Add seasonings like 1/4 tsp garam masala, 2 tsp chopped mint leaves and cook for a minute.
- Step 6
Now add 2 tbsp basmati rice and pour water and let it cook covered till rice is done and has soaked all the water.
- Step 7
This would take 57 minutes and after this add 1 tsp lemon juice and serve steaming hot with raita.
