Ingredients
Steps
- Step 1
To make dapka, add 1 tbsp cooked rice in a mixing bowl.
- Step 2
Add 1 tbsp besan,1 tbsp chopped onion,1/8th tsp each of red chilli powder and haldi, and 1/4th tsp salt.
- Step 3
Add sufficient water, and mix well rolling the mix into balls
- Step 4
Heat oil for frying and deep fry the dapka balls.
- Step 5
To prepare kadhi, add 5 tbsp buttermilk,1 tbsp besan, 1/2 tsp haldi, 1 tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp salt.

Add water and whisk the mix well.
- Step 7
Next, prepare the tempering.
- Step 8
Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a tempering pan.
- Step 9
Add 1/4th tsp each of rai and jeera and let it crackle.
- Step 10
Add 1/8th tsp each of hing and methi seeds, 4 leaves of kadi patta, 1/8th tsp green chilli paste and 1/8th tsp red chilli powder.
- Step 11
Saute all the ingredients well.
- Step 12
Add the prepared buttermilk mixture and mix well.
- Step 13
Give a Nestle Twist by adding kasuri methi.
- Step 14
Bring the mix to a boil, add dapka balls, cover with a lid and cook.
- Step 15
Serve hot.
