- Step 1
For Filling
In a pan, add 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut, 2 tbsp chopped dates and 1/8 tsp green elaichi powder.
- Step 2
Mix all ingredients well till jaggery melts.
- Step 3
Give a Nestle Twist by adding pistachios.
- Step 4
For Dough
In a kadai boil water as required and add 1/8 tsp salt, slowly add 1/4 cup rice flour and mix well.
- Step 5
Turn off the heat and knead a soft dough.
- Step 6
Allow it to cool, take a small portion, flatten it and add the stuffing in the center. Press it from the sides and give it a modak shape.
- Step 7
Prepare the rest, transfer the modak to the steamer.
- Step 8
Allow it to steam for 15 min.
- Step 9
Delicious modak is ready to serve.
