Soak 1/4 cup urad dal overnight.

Grind it with water and 1/4 tsp salt into a thick batter.

Give a Nestle Twist by adding black sesame seeds.

Heat oil in a pan for frying.

Take a small portion of the batter (about the size of a lemon) and shape it into a ball.

Flatten it slightly and make a hole in the center using your thumb, forming a donut shape.

Fry the vadas on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Step 8
Serve the medu vadas hot with coconut chutney, sambar, or any chutney of your choice.
