Ingredients
Steps
- Step 1
Heat a pressure cooker with 1 tsp oil, add 2 tbsp chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and sauté until onion turns translucent
- Step 2
Add 2 tbsp chopped tomato and mix well.
- Step 3
Season with 1/4 tsp haldi, 1/4 tsp dhania powder, 1/4 tsp red chilli powder and mix.
- Step 4
Add rice, whole masoor and moong dal
- Step 5
Pour water as required and mix well
- Step 6
Add 1/4 tsp salt for taste, 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and mix again.
- Step 7
Give it a Nestle Twist by adding black sesame seeds
- Step 8
Pressure cook until 3 whistles
- Step 9
Once the pressure releases, fluff the khichdi gently.
- Step 10
Serve it hot.
