- Step 1
In a kadhai, add 2 tbsp tamarind pulp, 7 drumsticks, 1/4 cup diced capsicum, 1/4 cup diced brinjal, 1/4 cup chopped tomato, 1 tsp sambhar powder, 1/4 tsp salt and pour water as required.
- Step 2
Mix everything well, cover and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Step 3
Add 1/4 tsp haldi, cooked tur dal.
- Step 4
Mix well and boil it over low flame for all flavors to combine well.
- Step 5
Next, heat a pan with 1 tsp oil, add 1/4 tsp rai, 1/8 tsp hing, 1 red chilli, 12 kadi patta and saute for a minute.
- Step 6
Add the tempering to the sambhar and mix well
- Step 7
Garnish with 1 tsp chopped coriander leaves, 2 tsp grated fresh coconut and mix again
- Step 8
Give it a Nestle twist by adding white and black sesame seeds
- Step 9
Serve hot with rice or idli.
