Ingredients

- Step 1
Mix together chickpeas, 1/2 tsp red chili powder in a bowl. Add 1/4 tsp salt and mix.
- Step 2
Add 2 tbsp corn flour and mix well.
- Step 3
Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai. Slide in the chickpeas, separating each of them as you put them into the hot and deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Now prepare the sauce by heating 1.5 tsp oil and saute 1/2 tsp grated garlic, 1/4 tsp grated ginger and 1/4 tsp green chili paste.

Further, saute 1 tbsp chopped spring onion slightly.

Now add 1/8 cup of each diced onion and green capsicum.
- Step 7
Saute for a minute or more, till the capsicum shrinks yet crunchy.

Furthermore add 2 tsp red chili sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1 tsp vinegar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1/4 tsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp honey and 1/4 tsp salt.

Saute on high flame till the sauce thickens and turns translucent.

Now add in fried chana and 1 tbsp chopped spring onion. mix well.
- Step 11
Finally, serve, chili chana as a starter or enjoy with fried rice.
