Steps
- Step 1
Soak 1 tbsp rice, 1 tsp urad dal and blend it with water and ferment it overnight.
- Step 2
For garlic chutney
In a frying pan, add 1/2 tsp oil, 3 garlic, 1 red chilli, 1 tsp chana dal and saute it well.
- Step 3
In a blender, add 1 tbsp dry coconut, prepared mixture, 1/8 tsp salt, blend it with water and make a paste.
- Step 4
For uttapam
In a mixing bowl, add batter, 2 tsp ragi, 1/2 tbsp chopped onion, 1/2 tbsp chopped tomato, 1/8 tsp salt.
- Step 5
Mix well.
- Step 6
In a frying pan, add 1/2 tsp oil, pour and spread the batter.
- Step 7
Cover and cook the uttapam.
- Step 8
Flip the uttapam and cook it on the other side.
- Step 9
Serve it hot with garlic chutney.
