Steps
- Step 1
For Idli batter
To the batter, add 1 tbsp boiled sweet corn, 1/2 tbsp each of chopped tomato, onion, capsicum and carrot, liitle water and mix well.
- Step 2
Grease idli mold with 1 tsp oil.
- Step 3
Add a spoonful of batter carefully into each mold.
- Step 4
Cover and steam cook the idlis.
- Step 5
Once done, allow it to cool, cut the idlis into pieces, and keep aside.
- Step 6
For Upma
Heat a pan with 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/8 tsp of rai, 1/4 tsp urad dal, 2 kadi patta and vegetable idli pieces.
- Step 7
Season with 1/8 tsp each of haldi, red chilli powder and mix.
- Step 8
Add 1/2 tbsp of chopped tomato, 1/2 tbsp chopped capsicum and mix.
- Step 9
Give it a Nestle Twist by adding black sesame seeds.
- Step 10
Garnish with 1 tsp each of grated coconut and chopped coriander leaves.
- Step 11
Serve warm.
