Steps
- Step 1
For Pasty Dough
In a mixing bowl add 1/3 cup whole wheat flour,15g vegetable shortening, 3/4 tsp butter, water as required and knead into the dough.
- Step 2
Cover and place in a fridge.
- Step 3
For Stuffing
In a pan heat 1/2 tsp oil, add 1/8 cup prawns ,1.25 tbsp chopped onion and saute it.
- Step 4
Add 1/8 cup chopped potato,1 tbsp chopped turnip,1/4 tsp black pepper powder,1/8 tsp salt, mix and cook it.
- Step 5
Take a pasty dough and divide it into an equal portion.
- Step 6
Roll out each portion with rolling pin and fill the stuffing into each roll out dough.
- Step 7
Seal the each pasty with fork and fork it on top of the pasty.
- Step 8
Brush 1/8 no. egg on top of the pasty and bake at 180 degrees celsius for 45 minutes.
- Step 9
Serve warm.
