Steps
- Step 1
Heat 1 tsp oil in a pressure cooker.
- Step 2
Add 2 tsp chopped onion and saute till golden brown.
- Step 3
Add coconut paste and water as required. Mix well.
- Step 4
Add 1/4th tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp dhania powder, 1/8th tsp haldi, 1/8th tsp salt and mix well.
- Step 5
Add 2 tsp chopped tomato and saute until soft.
- Step 6
To this mixture, add 2.5 tbsp masoor dal, mix well
- Step 7
Add water as required
- Step 8
Close the lid and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- Step 9
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Step 10
Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
